Anthony's Book of the Week


It's been a pretty quiet week here for Anthony.  He's still been fighting off his cold, so the sniffles have kept him pretty quiet.  We've been hanging out a lot on the couch in the evenings and catching up on our Veggie Tale movies.  At this point, I'm pretty sure I know just about every line to David and the Giant Pickle.   I'm pretty sure that the hubby is about ready to jump off a Veggie Tales bridge at this point...
 
 
In honor of our Veggie Tales themed week, Anthony wanted to read The Giant Thank You by Doug Peterson.  He loves these Veggie Tales books for the bright illustrations and the fun stories.  I love these stories because they really do teach a valuable lesson.  Plus, the illustrations are adorable and how can you not love Junior the Asparagus!

There are several other Veggie Tale books out there, and they are all worth checking out.  We own a few of them and they're a real value to the family library.  They have board books out there too for the younger kids.  Anthony has always enjoyed "Lyle the Kindly Viking." It's an adorable
