2012 YA Historical Fiction Challenge

I participated in this challenge in 2011 and failed so I'm hoping to give it another try.  I have some different YA historical fiction books to pick from, so I'm hoping that may inspire me to do better.

2012 Krazy Kleypas Challenge

I've read a few of Kleypas historical romance, but I'd like to dapple in her contemporary books. I happen to own all three of the books in the Travis series, so I'm going to give them a try.

2012 Just YA Contemporary Challenge

I'll be the first to admit, I don't read a lot of contemporary YA. It's not that I don't like it. I rather enjoy it when I do read it. I just don't tend to buy a lot of it, so I don't read a lot of it. However, I'd like to remedy that for 2012 and this is just the challenge to do it.

2012 TV Addict Challenge

I love TV. I'm not going to lie. There's many nights I find myself sitting in front of the TV for too long watching too many different shows. Because of that, I thought this challenge was perfect.

2012 Award Winning Reads

This is probably the challenge I am most excited about this year. There's so many of these books that I read years and years and years ago when I was in elementary school that I'd love to revisit. There's also books that I remember from childhood that I never did read and would love to say that I have.

2012 Blackdagger Brotherhood Read A Long

Here's another series that I've had forever and just haven't taken the chance to read. I'm excited to do this read along as I've heard rave reviews for this series, and when I went to get the last one at BAM, the checkout girl almost had a heart attack talking about how much she loved these books.

There is nothing I like more than a chubby book on a cold winter night. Sometimes, they can hold the best stories. I already had a few chubby books on my lists for next year, so I thought I'd give this challenge a try!

2012 Immortals Reading Challenge

I read a lot of paranormal books throughout the year, so this challenge should be an easy one for me to complete. Plus, it will help me to get a few of those books that have been collecting dust on the shelves read before another year passes.

This is actually something new for me. I haven't read any dsytopian literature (either adult or young adult) so I thought this challenge would be a great place to start. It will let me dip my toes into the water of the dystopian world.

I'm excited about this challenge, because I think it's going to make me read some of the books that I've let sit around on the shelf for just too long. Also, what's more fun than reading about how other people live!!

2012 Outlander Challenge

I have literally been waiting years to read these books. I always get the newest one, stare at the beautiful cover, and sit it on the shelf with the others. This year I'm changing that, and I'm going to read this set of books...even if its the only thing I end up reading all year!!

2012 Harry Potter Challenge

This really is the perfect challenge for me, because (and I hate even admitting this) I've never read all the books. I read the first three, and then stopped. I've seen all the movies and loved them. This is an awesome opportunity to resolve this horrible Harry Potter issue!!

Narnia Reading Project 2012

Sadly, I have only ever read The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe and none of the other books in the Narnia series. My mom got me the illustrated reader editions a few years ago and I think this is a perfect chance to start in on these.

I will be reading these books in publication order, because I think if C.S. Lewis wrote them in that order, he intended them to be read in that order.

I loved this challenge in 2011, and was so excited to see that it's back for 2012. It's so much fun to look for books that fit the different categories and go outside your box for something new.
